does anyone know the length of a 26M Daggerboard?
It dropped while towing home last week leaving a nice white line on the road.
I can repair it myself but want to get the dimensions correct
Thanks

This sites 'M' manual states that you should never let the daggerboard drop more than 57" below the surface of the deck. When it is retracted up to the level of the deck the bottom of the foil is just about flush with the hull bottom, therefore the difference between 57" and the keel opening, plus 57", should give you the original length of the DB.
Sorry, too bloody cold to go outside and measure mine!
At least the local council didn't have to pay for painting the new bike lane..

Hmm.. I'm surprised it dropped down. Mine has a cable under the dagger on the trailer to catch it if it were to drop.

Cant you measure the thickness of the whiteline, the distance home, and divide the resultant volume by the density of FG and buy that much FG replacement??
Im an experimentalist, in theory....

Hi, my OEM daggerboard is 69.5 inches. You could add an inch to this and still be safely inside the trunk depth.

If the boat is not in the V block all the way, the daggerboard will be behind the safety wire which stops it from falling down on the road. Probably pay to put a second line in (just a bit of rope) to save if from happening again.

I tried but Dodging the 70Mph traffic made it difficult
Thanks for all the sensible help
