Oh No another leak....

This is my second discussion pertaining to the leaks that I have in my 98-26x. This one is about a leak that I have on my roof somewhere. I was up north ( Northern Canada) staying in my sailboat for 6 days and nights straight and it rained quite a bit. After 3 or 4 hours of good rain one day I was sitting at the table and I noticed that the see threw plastic light was half full of water inside of it. I took the cover off and drained the light. I took the wiring out and noticed that the water was coming in from where the wiring was coming down to the light but I do not know where the water is entering the roof part and running to that point where it drains into the light. It could be almost any bolt or screw on the roof that is leaking so has anyone had this happen to them before and how did it get fixed or how do you suggest I proceed? Thanx for your help you guys :) :macx: :macx:

Tony,

I was finding water above the dinette mirror on my :macm:

I know you have the :macx: but the source could be the same. The deck receptacle for the mast lights can let in quite a bit of water. When I found this out, I replaced it with a Perko or similar WM type that screws together (the plug and receptacle). It also has a screw on cap for when the mast lights are not plugged in. http://www.westmarine.com/webapp/wcs/st ... sNum=50570

I had the same problem. I ended up taking out all the plastic covers, putting the hose on it and seeing which bolt was dripping. It turned out to be the block the centreboard line goes around.
