Early ice causing problems on Lake Michigan
Low temperatures in recent weeks have quickened the annual chill of Lake Michigan, growing sheets of ice a month earlier than usual, disrupting holiday plans for local cruise lines and bringing winter chores for harbor masters and industrial shippers.

I was really hoping global warming would speed up - and extend the sailing season up here.

These warmists as against most who believe there is always global warming and are open to suggestions of modern mans effect are actually the deniers of anything that conflicts with their religeon.
Apparently the reports of the Russian ship bogged in ice in the antarctic are being cleaned up much more in the US than even here, where Mawson had clear water for three years at this time a hundred years ago.
This ship full of scientists which was supposed to prove beyond doubt the massive effects on this fragile environment etc etc has now become a tourist cruise ship with the only mention of change being less penguins, perhaps because there is now 20km's of ice rather than bare land?
It got to 49.5c (121f) at Birdsville yesterday and they are on the news saying it's global warming obviously these idiots haven't been to Birdsville many times over the past 200 yrs.

Why have the ABC and Fairfax media, so keen at first to announce this expedition was to measure the extent and effects of global warming, since omitted that fact from their reports after the expedition became ice-bound?
It’s been even worse in the US:
The Russian ship, Akademic Shokalskiy, was stranded in the ice while on a climate change research expedition, yet nearly 98 percent of network news reports about the stranded researchers failed to mention their mission at all…
In fact, rather than point out the mission was to find evidence of climate change, the networks often referred to the stranded people as “passengers,” “trackers” and even “tourists,” without a word about climate change or global warming…
There was only one news story out of 41 that mentioned climate change. That was CBS “This Morning” Dec. 30. “Despite being frozen at a standstill, the team’s research on climate change and Antarctic wildlife is moving forward,” CBS News Correspondent Don Dahler said.

Note that the solar system (Mars and Venus, etc.) also experience global warming (and cooling). You can blame the SUV's - or you can blame sunspot activity. Up to each person.
does this mean I need more retraining and attitude adjustments
