So I suffered two bouts of clumsiness sailing last Saturday.

Episode the first: Motoring out of the marina and heading toward the river. Life is good, the breeze is nice, the sun is shining. I grab my genoa-track mounted boarding ladder and slide it aft to stow it below deck. Bloop, I must have pulled a pin, and one of the teach sliders takes a swim. Anyone ever see brackets like this, or know an outfit that sells replacements? No markings, and the PO said that the ladder w as soon custom. I might end up making a set out of stainless. (Picture coming.)

Episode the second: phone, wallet, glasses, and keys are nice and safe in the sink. Who gets a call from work and absent-mindedly clips the phone onto his pocket? This guy. First time I ever managed to jam my Furler line and guess what I snag on a shroud while moving forward? That's right, doink, doink, bloop, and the phone I's in the channel.

It was actually kind of nice not getting any more Calls Saturday.

It's interesting how everything seems to be in slow motion as you watch your thingy hit the water and sink.

The moment I read the subject line, I knew exactly what this thread was about.

For me, it's always the mast slot locking slug. They're a consumable, like gas and Spray Nine.

Here are the pictures of the one I have remaining. It was a really cool way to attach a boarding ladder.

I have the same boarding ladder. PO said it was from BWY but I can't confirm that. My understanding is they haven't sold it in a while. Might be worth checking to see.

Cant's say I've ever seen something like that.
However, it doesn't look that difficult to fabricate. Well, if you know how to fabricate stuff like that.

On Saturdays, I do not answer any phones. And never when sailing. If it's important they will call back, or leave message...

I wonder what Davy needs another phone for - he already has the Admiral's brand new one. He is rolling pretty cool with my Ray bans, reading glasses and new Berger multi tool with (never used) wrist lanyard which made more of a 'spla gloop' than just the ordinary ' bloop' sound.

The boarding ladder is from BWY. We stopped using ours two years ago when they put new higher docks in. Anyone looking for one It's just taknig up space.

Yep been there done that first time ph in approx 20ft or more was able to retrieve after about 15 dives , second time ph in a 130ft or more bye bye Davie Jones

Yukonbob, is it a boarding ladder or a swim ladder? Can you post a picture(s)?
