Macgregor 26S Boom needed

Greetings,

I tweaked my Mac's boom.
I believe the size is 2.5" X 3". Dwyer has one that is 2.63X3.26". Is this too large?
What other issues would this cause?
Do you know of any used 26S booms around?
Thanks loads.

Hey are you the same guy who just posted this on CF today? This forum is the best place for the question.

The same.
I have some ideas from the "other" site. I thought the MacG folks would have some thoughts...but I imagine most are smart enough NOT to cause the need for a boom. ;)
Dwyer has a boom that is close...a little larger...but I'll need to jigger the connection between the mast and boom. hummm

I would think there would be some trashed 26S's around that I could get a boom.
Does anyone know of a parts boat sitting around?
Thank you
E

I don't know...the 26S dimensions are posted above. 126 inches long I believe.
Beautiful week for sailing here...15-20mph wind and sunny...reef up and fly! But I sit on the sidelines. :(

Does anyone know who MacGregor used to make their booms for the 26S ?

The Dwyer measured very close...I am wondering if perhaps I just was sloppy in my measurements. I'm 80 miles from the boat or I would measure again.
I would think that there would be a trashed 26S somewhere and I could snag a boom...but no luck so far.
