This Winter & Spring's Scheduled Mods...

OK, For us Yankees, the season is way over, which while sad, let's us concentrate on things neglected during boating season & plan & mod for next year
Even if we don't have a nice heated garage that our Mac fits in like Highlander or Sumner

Para Mi:
1. Adding Lowrance Hds 9 + 4g Radar
2. Wiring in SNUBA 12V system that's been sitting in my garage
3. Galley Remodel not looking forward to it.

My "wish to do"-list:
Bow anchor roller with new "Kobra" anchor.
Ditching the portapotti and fitting a marine toilet.
Fitting 2 life-line mounted 30 or 40 Watt solar panels with MPPT charger.
New cabin floor carpet.

I had to look up "Kobra" anchor.

Planned work included a real 120VAC electric panel rather than the 30A marine breaker with a 15A GFCI duplex next to it, pulling off the headliner on the port side as the sheetrock screws through new-work (not surface mount) blue plastic electrical boxes somehow just isn't enough. And no, I didn't do that bit of wizardry - it was yet another bit of creative 'engineering' by the PO, including 10 gauge solid NM (non-metallic sheathed building cable, aka 'Romex'). But with the power inlet behind that open area aft of the galley, it's easy enough to redo the wiring, and I saved space on the panel I made for the 12V distribution/breaker panel for 120V power.

But today's project is winterizing the boat, as I still haven't gotten to it. Even though it's usually around Thanksgiving before I get to it, and being sunny and in the 50's, today is a good day for it.

I will be cutting out most of the fiberglass underneath the sink in the head of my to give me better knee room when I sit down!!! Refinishing it in a way that is aesthetically pleasing will probably be a finicky job.

Removing the inboard fuel tank, replacing all fuel lines, adding a grill, getting some fishing pole brackets installed and re-rigging the topping lift. Oh yeah, all L.E.D. lighting and sew up some sheets for the vee berth.

Do you plan to mount the fitting for the air hose under the helm seat? The compressor only weighs 28 pounds and could be permanently mounted either in or under the rear berth.

The Brownie inner tube systems require some setup time. A permanently installed unit would be very easy to use. Put out your dive flag, attach the hose, and jump in.

I'm in the process of sewing a cover...



... for the mast...



... it will cover the running rigging and the Genoa so that I don't have to remove them to prevent sun damage when the boat is on the trailer. It will also give them some protection on the highway also and make the boat quicker to setup and take down since I won't have to tie all of that stuff down.



...I started on the back (2nd picture) but now moved to the front and will work back on the mast to the cover I'd started back there,

I have the 110AC sys from Airline & got a 12v compressor from Hookamax diving. I like the hose setup of the Airline. Want to find a way to use the hose system with either power set up.

Is it taking up a lot of room you can use otherwise & how?

While I'm mainly just nosey & curious, I'm wondering if it could come in handy later in your new Mac life...

1. Galley remodel...stealing a few ideas from the mods section here and combing 3 of them into 1
2. Install the A/C and "Billy box" I bought
3. Finish the anchor mount and roller
4. put the boat on the lift, hoist it, and do bottom paint
5. cockpit floor to be done in wood as I saw in another mod
