Radar

Has anybody got a radome on their boat? My Tattoo has this very thick heavy aluminium mast. Is there an alternative that won't break the bank?

Radars not a cheap mod. Is it really needed? You might be able to pick up a used unit online fore a little cheaper Maybe half price?

Check out this thread from a few months back. http://www.macgregorsailors.com/forum/v ... =9&t=24738 Gazmn will likely chime in. I know he purchased something, but I'm not sure it’s installed. I've got radar on my boat that was installed by the previous owner. My boat was used in the South Puget Sound (Olympia, WA) and I think they were worried about fog. I’ve turned it on a few times and played with it, but I’ve never really gotten any use out of it. I like the way the pole was installed. It's nice and solid. You can see photos in the thread. If you have any questions about it, let me know and I'll be happy to pass along anything.
