I am not thrilled about the current hand adjustable stay extenders on the side and back stays of my 1983 Macgregor 25. After talking it over with my neighbor at my current marina, and reading some suggestions from this forum, I have made the decision to replace the stay extenders with turnbuckles. Does anyone have any experience locating the right turnbuckles for the Mac 25, and if so could you point me in the right direction of what look for and possibly what to avoid? As always any help is appreciated.

If one puts the mast up and down trailering I feel the stock adjusters are possibly more trouble free and less prone to be a problem. Not sure about a 25 but on my 26 I set the adjusters once when I made up the new rigging and haven't had to touch them again. They are pretty fool proof,
