Since our water is all cold and murky, and since lifts are not available anywhere near, I've been thinking about changing my cable by careening the boat in very shallow water on a sand beach. MacGregor (they were very helpful!) says this should be OK, but has anyone tried it? I'd appreciate talking to someone about it; I'm new to winch keels.
