Its a long shot, but does anyone know if the :macm: has been modeled in one of the 3D CAD , boat design programmes?

This came up a long time ago.
Not that that has any bearing on asking now, just sayin'.

If it's any consolation, I am near to completion of my model of the X in LEGO bricks... :P

I don’t see why not.

By the way, is it to scale?

A few years ago, someone here did some fantastic cad renderings of the :macm: in a fantasy design exploration thread. However, those images may be lost due to Photobucket Phiasco!

thanks K9,
i did a search, but i found nothing, however i have found this NA that has done them, now i can get a move on with my planned projects.
one of them is an entire rig change- to an unstayed rig,
and the other is some structural, and hydrodynamic redesign and modifications.

One of the designs this member did was that of two :macm:'s attached at the beam to make a catamaran!

wow, that would be quite the monster boat :)
personally, i could not see the merits in that, as the cat concept allows for high speed motoring and excellent sailing.
but progressive thinking none the less.
guessing it would have to be a marina boat then.

i am just looking to make my boat more user friendly, i want a rig that i can set up and strike in minutes, not the hour that it currently takes
i want to be able to use the boat in trawler mode- with the mast and boom in the gallows, without hindering the cockpit, and have the ability to easily set up the rig, while on the water, if need be.
then the other project, is to improve the performance under power, without compromising the already compromised sailing performance anymore.
which inadvertently- i will possibly be compromising a tad, due to the rig change.
Lots of work ahead!! :?

If anyone has an AutoCAD of a Mac it's Tomfoolery. He does this stuff while waiting for his coffee.

Any CAD files would be a great asset to share if someone comes up with one.
