TEmp: 10C winds 10 to 15 K, water Temp 42F :P TIME to LAUN :) CH

Ice left the lake on the 3rd, and i am the first in :P as of yesterday.

First season sumery:

-Hit other boat. Cost one bottle of scotch and a long first scratch and bruised ego, Got over it 8)
- I can now bury the rail at will when conditions dictate without screaming
Admiral still screams :? a definite no no while aboard.
- broke trailer winch (Armstrong son in law), so we gave it royal lauch( back her up, apply brakes on a timely basis, have someone hold rope and let her rip) :P
- Found heaven- the admiral and I, a nice sunset, light winds and wine.
- Heaven two. Alone in the zone.
- Had to repalce one spreader to 1\4 aluminum, total cost $185. with machining :x they did a nice job, very strong and fits well.
_ Play bumper cars with my slip.
_ Played one hundred question with looky loos :) glad to spread the message.
- learned that I own the best sailor trailer and the worst sailortrailer depending who you talk to.
- Found some of the best people and knowledge on this board, learnt lots.
- Also found two new bays on a island in the area, BEER BAY and WINE BAY :P :P

Best advice i can give newby, is all lines lead aft, 50 hp motor and NO FEAR.

took five hours to get the RAE-LEE-JOY in the water and sailed two hours :) :)

Sailing is great and life is good. Its Sailing time for north of 50. :P :P

And thanks to you all for my eduction and enterainment during the winter.

Have a good day I hear the call of the wind 8) 8)

Yes .... I'll admit that you were the first in the water ... But mine was in the next day! I still chuckle a bit when i think about the winch on you trailer... but hey, I'll probably do worse when I load mine. I wish Roland would put a current break of some sort before his docks though. As a first year, it's very stressful trying to play bumper cars with those docks. I'm sure I'll get it ....... EVENTUALLY! you may have noticed my boat isn't there right now, I'm parked at 9 mile point for a week or two for a "vacation". I'll chat with you when I get back to my berth on the river. C'mon out to 9 mile point for a drink if you have time on this long weekend... I'll have some waiting for ya .....

Hey, how come you Canadians get a long weekend? I mean those British looking flags and stuff.

Well, I would like to think that it's because we're Canadians and we are ALWAYS looking for a reason to party!

That's not a good reason, but it's a good enough reason for me just because I like you guys.
