Transom Plate

I am sure this has been discussed in the past , so please refresh my memory. Why doesn't the X and the M have the Metal Plates on the transom giving max HP and Max # of people on board? TIA : )

As I understand it, single hull boats, less than 20 ft are required to have the plate you describe. Personal watercraft and sailboats are exempt.

As this seems to defy all logic, I can only assume lobbyists have done their thing for PWC and sailboats. :wink:
