Poptop bow mounting to underside of top--1985 MAC 25

Post by Seadoc »

HELP!
Does anyone know of a source for the "fairlead-like" items that fit around the 1 inch diameter aluminum support bows and mount them to the underside of the poptop. I've spoken with Todd at BW Yachts. They don't carry them nor did he have a source.

Perhaps someone who is parting out an '85 Mac 25 or similar might have them.

If you have info on this please PM me ASAP.

Thanks

Sort of. When we dropped the pop-top we broke the other end by ripping the bolt through the fiberglass. I just completed the straightforward fiberglass repair.

Faced with your problem I would resort to one piece of 3/4 plywood or two layers of 1/2. Drill through with a 1-1/8 hole saw. Then complete the shape with a jig saw. Rub a little epoxy on the edges to keep out water.

Also, member Bootsy1968 said he was parting out a 25. But I have not been able to contact him.
