Hi NiceAft
Interesting tool!
Especially for a Mac as there are space limitations impacting installation of electric winches.
Figure the weight of one of these isn’t going to be much more than a good cordless screw driver.
The question of extra batteries and if a 12 VDC charger is available comes to mind.
Another option we’ve considered is the Ryobi 18 V Cordless Ratchet
Ryobi has up to 4 and 6 ahr batteries as well as a 12 VDC Battery charger that plugs into. Standard auto (lighter) receptacle.
There ar other cordless ratchets available from other manufacturers but I’m familiar with Ryobi .
Making the drive adapter attachment could be done using an old winch handle, a socket, and a bolt.
I’ve previously made a square drive adapter from a square head bolt that fit. At the time I wasn’t concerned about having the adapter “lock-in” to the winch though.
The Ryobi cordless ratchet also gives some justification as it is a tool one can use elsewhere.
Just gotta remember to bring it!

"No single-use tool" principle.

How often do we really crank those winches on Macs though, really?
