Hopefully none of the Australian MacGregor members have been adversely affected by the floods

Thanks for the concern, the floods are receding now. Mainly occured on the southern half of the east coast. Unfortuniately the some of the areas affected also had large bushfires last year and the year before and some have also been in a drought. Good thing though, apparently there was a mouse plague developing in some of the areas - that's been fixed by the rising waters.

Sheechyetchyuck!!!
Donβt you guys ever get a break?
First you get roasted, then you get over-run with vermin, then you get flooded with mud slides and your expecting locusts to liven things up???!!!???
Ya gotta be kidding ....right?

Weβd like to hope things get back to βnormalβ for you over there but as things go you all have had enough of βnormalβ more than a person deserves!
So we hope everyone is safe, secure and has a very unusually odd series of months, if not years, consisting of nice moderate temperatures, occasional gentle showers, sunny days that arenβt too hot, gentle breezes and a long unbearable period of time where nothing happens but birds singing, grass growing, flowers blooming and way too many days of great sailing weather with the time and resources to do it beyond contentment.

Just jokin about the locusts. Mind you, you are having some weather issues too ie. tornados (we call them cyclones) and cold weather. We might have heat but we don't have the problems in the winter that you have with the snow. BTW in my area (outer east suburbs of Melbourne) we haven't all the problems although right beside where I live is one of three most fire prone area in the world, California, Greece and the Dandenong Ranges in the Victoria, Australia. We haven't had a big fire in our area for a few years now. Currently we are having a mild Autumn (Fall) with rain and sunshine. My biggest problem is mowing the lawn every week. You can almost see the grass grow.
On anther note, being a fair weather sailor, I haven't been able to go out with the boat for a few weeks - not enough clear weather (and not committed to other things) to have a couple of days on the water. Hope to get out at least once more before winter sets in (to put it in perspective we occasaionally get 0 degrees centigrade some mornings during the winter - nothing like your winters).
