Yeah, Honda generators are less than half that, at 42 dB. I have two - an EU1000i and an EU2000i... both are super quiet and work flawlessly. The important bit is to drain and remove all the petrol from them and run them dry before storage.

Which is actually a gigantic difference in perceived sound levels. It takes 3dB change or more for humans to perceive a change in sound level. A 10dB change is perceived as twice as loud (or half as loud). So 91 to 81, 81 to 71, 71 to 61, 61 to 51, and 51 to 41dB would be 0.5^5, or 3% as loud, or 1/32 as loud. That's perception, not energy.
