Glad you got it squared away! Congratulations!
Currently enjoying some health care in Metairie LA. The roads over there remind me of your description of your roads. More destructive test track than road.

Re: Trailer Bearing Failure and Replacement
I think the best times to repack and inspect is:
1. When the hubs feel hot.
2. Just after you pull it out at the end of the season, so it does not sit with any moisture in them.
3. When ever you feel is good. Maybe twice a year?

Sounds like the highways we last traveled on in Texas!Starscream wrote: ↑Fri May 13, 2022 4:56 pm Well, everything held together for the launch today. Bearings were all cool.
Our roads here in Quebec are like a continuous shaker-table test. I don't know why car companies spend so much money on proving grounds, they should just drive around our province instead.
(For a state that prides itself on pumping pile of oil out of the ground ya’d think they could spare some asphalt on da roads)

Re: Trailer Bearing Failure and Replacement
For knocking out old outer races from the hub I’ve used a 1/2 and 3/4 inch diameter brass rod.
Can be found at a local hardware store or a local machine shop.
Worth having and they last for decades.
