whats this part do?

Post by EvenKeel16 »

HI Guys,

long time since I've posted anything but been reading everyone else post weekly - great info. Been sailing as much as I can and still work. So I've had my boat a couple years now and its in a slip - yea! I dont raise the main much - my son the first mate does. So I never noticed this part - pictures. Well it came off and i dont know from where. I have Hyde loose foot main that came with the boat and love it . Please take a look and see it you recognize it. Oh, i also included a picture of my new drifter sail!

Bolt rope feeder, helps align the bolt rope with the slot in the mast. Should go right below the feed gap in the mast slot.

Here's mine. Look to the left of the boom connection. I also have another feeder right below the slot gap (or gate).

Feed the rod into the slot (loosen the screws until you can get it in). Once it's in position, tighten the screws. That should lock it in (basically clamps in the slot).
