“Southern Star” - Bringing a 26m back to Adventure.

Hey all,
I’ve just picked up “Southern Star”, a BWY Boat, sold to Dave and Stella Bishop, back in ‘12. I believe Dave went by “menkalos” here and posted a few of his mods. They had a blog, and it suddenly stops, and from what I can deduce, it appears the boat was sold by them soon thereafter, and from what I can tell, it was untouched/unused since, and essentially parked on Bainbridge Island until a broker got a hold of it and I picked it up off of him. Its like a Time Machine and so strange…
Here’s the link to their old blog - https://daveandstella.wordpress.com/
It’s highly modified and has a ton of bells and whistles… radar, autopilot, full canvas kit (in great shape) line aft kit, rear seats, handles, water pump/rear underbed tank, dual 6v AGM… it has so many BWY parts, it’s like an advertisement for them and is almost immaculate.
I’ll post some updates as I get her set up over the winter and back on the water here in Portland, next spring.
Here’s what she looks like today

If anyone knows anything about it’s story, I’d love to know…
