I can’t find this, so either you found something really new in Monopoly, or you’re really, really good at Photoshop.

It’s a joke from the Mac Facebook page. Cute.
My comment against it was “Go directly to SeaTow. Do not pass GO, do not collect $200.)

Re: Just in time for Christmas
Probably just AI-generated, Ray. It’s rampant… for example, I’m seeing tons of AI-generated car “photos” on FB pages, where it’s very clear to anyone who knows cars that the photos are just wrong…. Too many details are blatantly incorrect.
Of course, the truly disturbing thing about AI is that eventually it will get a lot better, such that these obvious errors will be a lot harder to detect… and then it’s gonna be a brand new day.

Re: Just in time for Christmas
AI example - I asked a free AI generator to create the box for a Monopoly game based on sailing, and this is what I got…

See you on the 18th.
On New Year’s Eve, we will be at Chesapeake’s Haven Harbor Marina’s party; not on NiceAft, driving.

Not just FB… it’s everywhere, Ray… X, Insta, IM, WhatsApp, even the TV news and movies.

Re: Just in time for Christmas
It's already a lot better. I won't link to them for obvious reasons but content-creators are flooding social media with "cheesecake" pinup videos of girls that indistinguishable from reality in both appearance and movement. The clues are extremely subtle: eyes don't blink at quite the same instant, mouths are slightly blurry when they talk - and yes, AI still has trouble counting fingers.kmclemore wrote: ↑Mon Dec 30, 2024 9:00 am Probably just AI-generated, Ray. Re: Just in time for Christmas
We needed AI for just what exactly?…
And just what are self driving cars & taxis going to be of benefit to?
Like regular taxis, Uber & Lyft aren’t convenient enough?
So aside from robotics and automation removing more and more “human” jobs that feed and house normal people and now plan on replacing the folks trying to get by to pay the rent via being ‘contractors’ for Uber and Lyft with the introduction of Robotaxis we now have AI replacing actual creative artistic work by actually talented individuals …..
The Tesla (& related type companies) AI androids along with AI robodogs and AI drones are here and will only supplant more people in the work environments… they are already replacing cashiers (self serve checkouts), waiters/waitresses (what did you think those ‘kiosks’ at MacDonalds were), gas station attendants, construction workers (3D printed/stacked/nailed/screwed/welded houses), assembly line workers, technicians, seamstresses, lumber mill workers, house cleaners, painters, loggers, IT engineers, Computer Scientists/Engineers, Process Engineers, Structural Engineers, Chemical Engineers/Technicians, nursing aides, Stock Brokers, multiple levels of Business Management, HR personnel, warehouse workers, package & food delivery personnel, traffic control (tool booths/parking/traffic camera) & enforcement (automatic intersection and speed violation ticketing), lawyers/paralegals, bakers, pharmaceutical production/packaging/dispensing (ever notice that your prescriptions by mail are all uniformly packaged/labeled?), Banking/Credit/Loan processing/review/approval, lawn mowers/landscapers, mail & package collection/sorting/distribution/delivery, farming, grocery store workers/managers and a whole slew of other regular working person jobs… the list goes on and on
The race is now really on to the absolute lowest bottom line costs for those that are financially capable of affording the newest tech to maximize their own increasingly narrowing profitability…and it will/is compounding non-linearly at least until even garbage collection jobs … (oh…wait…those are already getting replaced with those bin grabber trucks which are also being AI enhanced with operator/driverless tech)…
Now collectively we get to watch the …… oh yeah, the AI algorithms and your media choices/searches/news pretty much have that too…..
Not trying to be alarmist, just observationally pragmatic about the current and increasingly prevalence of what the synergy of the concentration of wealth, AI, automation robotics on a practical level means to ordinary people and their children’s futures.
It’s not all bad, gloom, doom… at least for the moment… so have a laugh when and where you can before someone wins it all and pulls the drain plug on the Sailopoly game…
Hey Russ, you look awesome as a Pirate!
Best Regards,

Re: Just in time for Christmas
I had no use for it until I discovered something called "Content Aware Fill" in Photoshop. Now I use that all the time. Saves me a half hour of using the stamp tool when I'm editing a photo.
Not the best example; this was just a quick demo:

Hey Russ….. What’s with the extra arm off to the right of frame???
Weird hand and finger nails…… and extra “face”?
