12 Gallon fuel tanks

Checking on my boat the fuel tanks are original (2008) and looking a bit UV damaged.
So what are we using now for 12 gal tanks on the 26M? I know the original tanks are no longer made. Is there a similar replacement?

I ordered one of these as a replacement a few years ago and it has served well.

Good question. This is what I thought was the problem. Or was it the cap height?

The new tank fits fine under the seats in our
If I recall, they have slightly lower capacity than the originals and may be a little wider.
We use a piece of sunbrella to protect the tank from solar damage when not in use.

Any chance of seeing a photo of those new tanks in place?

Hi Piddle and Futz!
The sunbrella is a great idea!
Out Previous Owners left us two bits of sunbrella fabric that I’d forgotten about.
Your remarks triggered the old memoryies and I’ll bet that’s what those two pieces were meant to accomplish!
Thanks for the reminder (and to our PO for providing us with these bits!
We’ll find them and put them to use!
Best Regards,
Over Easy

Yes it is. My tanks would probably be in better shape if they were not UV damaged.

Your location is Corpus Christi. You also wrote that you “just got back from Corpus Christi.” Kind of implies that you just got home, and home is not Corpus Christi.
Just sayin.

Boat is slipped in Corpus.
For purposes of this forum, I think that best describes our sailing venue.
Our other residences really aren't anyone's business.

This is a friendly forum.
The discrepancy was noticed, and pointed out. No harm intended. All is good.
