Im doing two projects this weekend and could use some advice
VHF 3 foot antenna on mast - Catigale is slipped most of the year at the Awenke YC, but we take 5 trailer trips a year to New England. How do people handle the disconnect of the antenna when the mast comes down?
Swim ladder - Where exactly do people put this? Does it go low on the transom so the twp plastic feet just hit the hull? Are there any gotchas with this install

I had the same question several months ago. Run the coax from the radio through the liner up next to the mast. Install one of those "deck feed-through" things... it's a round chrome fitting with a rubber grommet in it, which you pass the cable through and tighten to make watertight. Leave several inches sticking out of the deck, and solder a standard male PL-259 connector. Run your coax from the top of the mast, have it exit on the same side as where the cable from the deck comes out. Solder a connector to it to. Then, connect the two with a female-female barrel connector, facilitating disconnection when taking the mast down.
There was a pretty good picture of that on the old sitre. It's problably on this one if you look. I'm not positive, but I think it was posted by Heath. I mean it was a mod he did years ago.
