How many of you are using the Mac 26X anchor roller available at BWY? Does anyone know if the Bulwagga anchor will fit on it?

I squeezed a URM-2 onto my

The BWY anchor roller is not designed to store an anchor. It is simply a fairlead for the rode when raising and lowering. If you want to store an anchor on the boat you are better off with one of the third party off the shelf ones at West Marine.
Here is my setup. I store a 16.5lb Bruce style in it. It's there all the time, on the water, and when trailering. It works great. You'll find one of the challenges is to get the shank far enough forward that you can still open the locker door when the anchor is in place. You also have to cut an opening at the front of the door to let the chan pas through when closed.
My early X had the bow light located on the deck. I removed this and went to separate lights on each side mounted near the chainplates. This gets the lights completely out of the way of big heavy metal things.

Duane...
In the pics it looks like it is just set alongside where you pin the rollerfurler. Did you have to mess with that at all?

also...the thing you pin the forstay on looks like it is anchored with pop rivets...did you change that?

No changes to the forestay chainplate or the anchor roller.
All I did was drill the holes for the 3 bolts and attach it with some large SS fender washers.
The forestay chainplate is not connected in any way to the anchor roller. The only pop rivets are the stock ones that hold the trim plate surounding the where the chainplate passes through the deck in place. This is all factory. The chainplate itself passes through the deck and terminates with the bolt you can see on the starboard side below the anchor roller.
The other change I mad is the bow cleats. The '96 boats had black plastic cleats, I switched to the larger SS ones you see. My early X has a handy access cover under the anchor locker in the vee berth area. This also was standard from the factory for the first few years. It makes it easy to work on the bow once you remove the cover and the foam.
This is the inside of the area on my boat
