Sad but true...I sold my MAC X

I must say it was a wonderful journey. I bought that fun little boat in 2002 after researching it for almost 2 years. I think I bought the boat at the wrong time in my life. My wife was pregnant with our first child and since then we have had 3 kids since the boat arrived. The amount of kids you have is directly related to the amount of use a boat will get-more kids=less boat. I know Mr Dunn has a small army on his boat and I don't know how he does it but my wife just doesn't cope that well. So sadly the boat went up for sale and was just sold last friday to a great guy from St. Augustine. He is going to bottom paint the boat and let her live in a cozy slip there. I hope he enjoys the boat as much as I have. He has even been so nice to invite me up for a sial. Thanks to all of you for your great tips on sailing and mods. You are all a great bunch of guys/gals.

Funny thing you ask.... If all went south I would likely lose the 500K house and get to start over and pay about $1500 a month child support. Lets not get started on alimoney..

I guess I'm pretty lucky, we are working on our 5th child and the first boat related message from my wife after we found out was..."honey, we need a good full enclosure now".
Actually, it was my kids who suggested that my former keel boat was too slow, my former jet boat was too fast, and they needed a boat that could go right up on the beach but still had a cabin for them to play in...
Anyway, sorry to hear about your loss... Maybe you will get another chance...next time, make sure it is her idea though.

GBroga...a sad story indeed...but maybe there's an upside. We're empty nesters, and I saw an opportunity to get back to sailing. Solution: We found a Mac 26X, and some real nice folks at our Marina. Its great fun again. Hold on to your sailing magazines, because some day.....
Maybe you and the Admiral can eventually do the same...be patient !
