my 26X can go straight or turn right, but can't turn left. How can I fix this.

can't turn left
have a look at the swim-ladder ; if it's down it interferes with the rudder.
( ps i've had the problem once too)

You might have rudder brackets arms (where they are connected with the steering arm) stepped on and bended. They are possibly grinding your gel coat. If that is the case I found out that it helps to disconnect the motor when sailing and that will relieve some pressure from the brackets, just enough to give you control untill you hit the shore and bend them back.
I had that done twice and finaly installed deck above the controls.
