my 2003 26x has a 2003 suzuki 50 hp 4 stroke engine, works great, at wide open throttle with water ballast empty ,centre board up ,rudders up i am cruising at 14 knots,16mph, and 5000rpm,
what is recommended wot rpm,and would a different prop give me more speed without hurting engine as i am sure if i increase pitch i will go faster but loose initial get up speed and maybe engine won't be running in proper rpm, has anyone had experience with this.

I believe your max range is 6.300 to 6,800, but you can find it at Suzukimarine.com. If you're only getting up to 5,000 you prolly need to down-pitch.

If you look closely at Geoff's above links you'll see that he searched on the terms prop pitch. I've seen numerous other threads that dealt specifically with propping a Suzuki 50, so I searched on the terms suzuki 50 prop (you need to click the 'all terms' button). Then I scanned my search list for threads I recalled.

The first below was complaint of a Suzi-50 going too slow ... your 16 WOT isn't so bad. I'd guess your 26X maximum speed will be about 18 mph ... a bit faster than the same motor on a 26M.
Only getting 12mph!?!

This next is probably the most comprehensive-ever discussion regarding propping a Suzi-50.

After some thorough "recommended reading" you'll undoubtedly have still more clarification requests or questions. Please feel free to ask them, right here in your new thread. Best of luck.
