I'm planning a trip to the keys and was going to launch from Bahia Honda as I've heard they have a good ramp there. However they want to charge $30 for parking per day to leave the vehicle and trailer behind. It costs nothing if you are renting a dock. I was planning on staying a night or two and then moving on to Key West.

Is this a new thing? I've heard of lots of people launching from here, but I've never heard of this before. Any ideas on an alternative launch point or other options?

A friend of mine used to trailer his chrysler 22
down to ohio key mile marker 39, and leave his truck
