You are not crazy.I studied Macs for over a year befor I made my mind up. I never had any kind of boat before I took the plunge. I did drive 1100 miles round trit to see Bill at B4S in the March snow all over Wisc, then I drove up there again in July to tow a brand new Mac home. You will be thrilled when you get it. Like I did you will just sit in it in the back yard admiring the boat. Good luck and you came to the right web site for Macs.

You're probably crazy, but I think you'll be extremely happy with your new boat. Welcome to the Mac family! We got our X last year and boy did we have regrets-that we didn't buy it years earlier. Can't wait to get it back on the lake this summer.

Congratulations. :D You are doing the right thing.... Don't forget to get the boat hook  I just bought a :macm: 26M :macm: last week (will pick it up in March)and everyone that looks at the pictures thinks I won the lottery. Of course I got the Blue Hull cause it looks good and keeps the boat warmer a definite benefit :D here in Canada.

Congrats to you!

Bought mine and was not even in the same country so what does that make me, gullible?. Hope it made the ship leaving LA on 24 January and is safe in its container strongly bolted to the deck :o

Should be here mid March depending on cyclones.

Wait is going to kill me if the wife doesn't first "boat" is a four letter word in more ways than one around here 8)

Crazy as Me~

Well Dan, you aren't any more crazier than me ...

Sure, I'd seen pictures and all. Didn't know anyone personally that had one in my area. Then one day a fellah came along to launch a 26M down at the lake. Just watched as he set it up and stepped the mast.

Was a beautiful thing.

Never did see the insides of one. But then saw them online and knew I had to have one for when I retire soon. Sooner came, and I bought one sight unseen and from a website! Never met the man, but he had it shipped to my house after receiving the money. Was I happy?

Yes! It was better than I had hoped for. Every day since then (last July) has been an adventure in pleasure and satisfaction. What a joy to sail, camp and power sail about where your heart beckons. :)

Way to go Dan. I bought my :macm: and had never stepped foot on a sailboat before. Guess that makes me a lunatic. Good luck with your new sailing, fishing, cruising, ski boat. Not necessarily in that order.
:)

I gave BWY a deposit 3 years ago for my first boat (one my Dad didn't own anyway) and have not regretted it a bit. Fun times ahead as you set it up and tailor to your needs.

You'll get lots of help and advice on this forum - welcome aboard!

No you are not crazy, I did the same last year. Never saw a Macgregor in the flesh but just went ahead and ordered one.

Crazy in love with a dream. Crazy in love with a lifestyle. This particular form of crazy is what others only dream about. You took that leap of faith :) Welcome aboard brother. Welcome to the nut house :D

Having a big motor might come in handy in Alaska's big currents.
