washdown pump

I installed the Sureflow Blaster with 25' spray hose. The pump is located near the ceiling in the aft starboard berth area. Both the 'inflow' hose--the hose that pumps in your water supply--and the 'outflow' hose--the garden hose--are attached to the pump and run behind the stern liner and up and out thru the opening that some of the engine wires run thru.

The outflow hose is a flexible l'' hose that hangs over the stern into the water when in use. When not in use it sits coiled in the stern well. I put a thru-hull fitting on the end to strain the water and to weigh the hose down. This hose can also be stuck into a 5 gallon water jug so you can spay the boat down with clean water on your final rinse.

The pump is connected via a l6 gauge dual wire to the battery, and is protected with an in-line l5 amp fuse. A rocker switch provides on-off power, and is located next to the where the garden hose is housed in the HoseCoil.

The 25' hose lets me spray any area on the boat.
The wind is free, and so is the water.

I replaced the starboard water tank with a better one (flexible type) which is now located below the cooler chest. The filling pipe goes below the headroom through the closet in the headroom and up on deck. You see the filling fitting on the picture....
