Bow Roller

I liked the BWY bow roller, but I wanted something that extended to cover the fore stay tang for added strength. The geometry of the tang would try to slice the foredeck if that little bracket around it gave way. I made a template out of cardboard then bought some 14g SS sheet stock. Cut is with a band saw filed it smooth and bent it with a finger break. The Delrin roller is from WM. I also cut out a similar backing plate, some 1/4 - 20 SS machine screws with lock nuts and a few dab of 5200. It is still a pain to reach that far forward through the V birth. The fore stay tensioner helps keep the rigging nice and tight.
