Halyard J Hook

You can secure your halyards any number of ways. From merely wrapping them around the outside of your upper shrouds, to bungee cords, to simply tying off with a spare line. But if you read my mods you know I prefer a more integral, purpose built method to my madness. Plus I think it looks professional, and I've received quite a few compliments and requests regarding them. Simple enough to install, I used "3/16" "Pop-Rivets, mounting them about a third off the way outboard. Just insure they're facing the right direction. Starboard side for the Main Halyard faces aft, port side for the Jib Halyard faces forward. Certainly not the "cheapo" method, but LAIKA is my pride and joy and I don't mind spending $$ on her. These are a nice, easy to use mod that keeps your boat Shipshape and Bristol fashion.

Others have done this Mod, but here it is again. Not much to say other than the selection and use of the Mast Hound. I decided to add a new mast hound above the old location as opposed to moving the existing one. This allows me to easily return to th...
