M Overhead storage

So after discovering Roger installed all this silly foam above the mirror of the M, I removed it all. That's the last place the Mac is going to see water if holed. In that compartment is LOTS of useful storage. I lined it with I/O carpet and it makes for a nice storage location for stuff we go to often. Flashlights etc.
This is also where our stereo is mounted so the space behind is reclaimed. Mounted XM receiver next to it. Velcro hosts the remote (not shown). We love this space and store all kinds of stuff in there. GPS when not on ped, ignition keys, flashlights, documents, that silly winch handle. Great storage reclaimed. Switch above controls WiFi link on top of mast and router (also mounted in this space).

Door is a simple oak plank finished (from Lowes). I'm the furthest from a carpenter, but this was very easy to do. Spring cabinet hinges keep it open. Lined the edges with white electrical tape to protect from sharp fiberglass. This was my first and best mod. Love the extra storage and access to stereo and antenna deck thru deck fittings.

Spring loaded hinges reveal lots of storage in there. All soft inside.
