Skylight hatch install
- Boat Type: Boat Type
I added these two small opening hatches to my boat. I bought a new set of plastic skylights and glued them over the existing skylights, then cut out the opening for the hatch. The hatches are made of black plastic with tempered glass. I used a trim ring made of black starboard under each hatch.
These let in plenty of air. I installed the hatches facing the sides of the boat so when at a dock there is cross ventilation. I used plenty of black silicone to bed everything with and did not torque stuff down hard. Everything conformed to the gentle curve of the original skylights
