Raymarine Autopilot tiller installation

After studied the posted mods on autopilot, I decided to get Raymarine EV1 autopilot with tiller. All the seatalk cables used comes with the package, I also followed Kadet's mod on tiller and installed the 2" tiller bracket, ordered from ebay.

EV1 compass: I decided to mount on the top step to avoid drilling and mounting on bottom of cockpit wall. The sealink cable runs along step support into battery compartment. Main control box mounted inside rear port storage compartment to free the starboard compartment for my other mods. No additional sealink cable are needed on this installation.

Tiller: The tiller is not bolted to the bracket. The 2" bracket comes with a pin where it fit nicely on the tiller. The woodblock is expoxied on the side of the wall with a bit of the carpet removed. Power socket is located on the stern wall just next to the wooden block. During dry test, I can hear clearly the noise from tiller while on the cockpit. I can imagine how loud it can be if it is located on the cockpit and the source of many complains.

The system is yet to be sea tested.

R70 controller: I piggyback it on my Garmin chart plotter using 2 1/2" aluminum pipe, 2 1" aluminum angle pc and a cutout cutting board. This arrangement allow for both chat plotter and autopilot to rotate on Garmin's mounting bracket.
