Anchor Light and Windvane

This picture shows the mount for the anchor light and windvane. We
didn't have a mast cap, so I used a piece of plexiglass (B) that
I mounted on the brackets that the backstay attaches to.
I picked plexiglass
because it was handy, and it doesn't stand out too much. I'll
probably replace it with a better mast cover sometime. The anchor
light (C) is mounted in the center, and the Windex windvane (A)
is mounted up
and aft so that it is easy to read from the cockpit while sailing, and
so that it gets less interference from the rest of the stuff up there.

To avoid having to install another through-deck and switch, the anchor
light and steaming light can alternately be plugged into the same
connector labeled "mast light" and controlled from the front panel.
This works fine since the two uses are mutually exclusive and it's not
too much of a pain to unplug one and plug in the other.

Since this picture was taken, I have added a VHF antenna mounted on
the front of the mast.

I placed it over the hole closed by the plate hiding the winch bolts. The main problem here was to route the wiring to the panel. Just now there is no separat switch besides that at the light itself. Published by: MS Classifieds

I installed a new light for the head with the switch on the top right corner of the plastic cabinet door. It's so my kids can reach it. All the lights in the boat are LED as are the nav and mast lights now. Published by: silverfox441
