The goal was to make the door multi-piece for easier storage. Decided as well to provide a means of securing us inside the boat if needed, for instance in a shady Walmart parking lot. Used HDPE 'cutting board', a 3x3 piece is enough. Cheaper than Starboard and I like the light it allows thru. Portlight is from Amazon. It provides a way to see out and ventilation. I'll keep the original door for storage security.
