Forward Cleat

I run a roller furling when I'm on extended cruises and when I day or weekend sail on the lakes I use a hank-on sail.....(Makes my set up time much faster).....Anyways, I found when the hank-on sail was lowered it covered my cleat and made it difficult to get at when anchoring or docking at a marina/boat ramp..So I moved them back between the forward rail....(I had to relocate them, anyways, when I added my bow plank).....But its was another improvement to the mac and I'm glad it happened....The forward cleat's are now in a much, much, better location whenever its necessary to tie off...and that raised fiberglass lip (I don't know why its there) seems to be a plus....The hard part of this mod was removing and replacing all the flotation.

Figured how to put the anchor rode and chain in a cloth cooler in the little area forward of the v berth. It works nicely. The little cooler isn't waterproof but makes a nice filter for any gunk that gets on the chain so it won't flow into the bilge....
