AC/DC panel install

I added an AC electrical system with shore power inlet and a permanent Heart Interface 1000 Watt inverter/charger. In the large picture you can see the AC panel that I installed next to the original DC panel. I upgraded the four switch DC panel to six and moved the original 4-switch DC panel to the V-berth storage area to control the bilge pump, pressure water pump (future), and other future items that only get switched once per cruise. I mounted the 30-amp shore power inlet below the port winch. This gave me a short run between the inlet and the AC panel. The AC panel has a main double pole disconnect and a reverse common/hot wire indicator. Three 15-amp branch circuits are included. I have one wired to the inverter/charger and three AC outlets driven from the inverter (including one for a microwave in the galley area). (See galley mod on this web site). As part of the DC panel and battery changes I replaced the wire from the battery to DC distribution panel with a 10-guage marine safety wire (red & yellow conductors).

No wiring other than the VHF power cords (I didn't do it) and a short wire from the fan are exposed in the interior. With patience, everything can be run through the conduits. All along the conduits are plastic hole covers from where the factory need...
