Quick and easy anchor roller

As I was searching the forum for ideas on installing an anchor roller, I came across a post from Norbert describing a very simple and easy "instant" anchor roller, and decided that it would suffice for my purposes.

Basically, it consists of a 3" bow roller (find in the trailer section of West Marine or other store), a 3/8 x 4" bolt, a nut, and 2 washers. Simply attach the roller to the bow rail where the mast bolts to when being trailered (for this reason, this mod is obviously more suitable for boats that are slipped or dry-stored mast-up). Total installation time was about 3 minutes, and total cost was under $10.

As Norbert's post cautions, be sure to cleat the rode so that the load is not transferred to the bow rail... in other words, don't cleat it on the "boat" side of the roller, cleat it on the "water" side so that the rode is slack on the roller.
