As we moor our boat for the season a substantial rode attachment was required. We removed the factory cleat and installed a bollard with a large backing plate to spread the load then sealed it with waterproof sealant

    I had a U-bolt installed for the other end of the anchor line. Not hard, Just take out the carpet at the end of the V-berth and remove the foam. This will hold the end of the anchor line if it gets loose. Published by: James V
