:macx: i used a jigsaw with fine tooth metal cutting blades.Covered citting line with masking tape. Then chamfered edges with an angle grinder. i replaced mine which was a 1.5 or 2 inch transom valve model of my 1996 :macx: with a 3 inch model for which i had to carefully cut a larger hole where the previous valve was.
I bought the 3 inch valve online from a UK supplier :macx:

probably its better to replace it, i replaced mine which was always leaking from the base and very annoying.
I have an electrical pump which was fitted by the previous owner :macx:

hi thanks for your reply i have a canister in line filter fitted and also a small plastic filter situated in the motor,ive also changed the fuel hose from tank to motor including bulb and thats when the trouble with outboard motor not running well started. I will check the the fuel hose for tightnes...

Could be packaged as; fore and aft electronic valves and brain, or as just brain. Other features you'd like to see? Yes a ballast empyting system by means of a 12v pump inside the ballast tank or outside or any other combination. :macx:

:macx: i have an 1996 trailer,was a bit rusty took it for sandblasting and a special spray paint job....now it looks new :)
p.s. i dont trailer the boat but put the boat in a marina for the summer months then in a boatyard for the rest of the year :wink:
