Vendor spec. sheet

Hello All I lost my computer drive a while ago and need to find the pdf with the M26 blueprints. I had it saved but not to a flash drive or satellite memory. Lesson learned? What I need right now is length of line for the rudders. My old line frayed last time out. I believe it is 5/16" dia. but...

Re: Hurricane Preparedness

Rich how high off the water is the final storage position? What is the record storm surge in your area so far? Might go higher with the crazy weather patterns we have know due to the non existing global warming. I don't know about strapping it down and have high wave action against our boats. It see...

Oru Kayak

Hi everyone Just ran across this while looking at a fishing site. A folding kayak that looks like it will store easily on our boats. The folds are supposed to last 2000 cycles. Does look interesting though. Mike http://www.canoekayak.com/gear/newest-kayak-in-the-fold/?fb_ref=.UVy4qbwJ2qU.send&fb...

Re: Do not test marine electronics using car battery charger.

Hello all. Just a side question for those in the know. I have a Honda 2000 generator that I had planned to charge and power various 12v toys and such on the boat. It is advertised as a clean power source. So my wonderment is would this be safe to use direct or should it be buffered through a battery...

Re: Gas mileage when towing with big motors

Dimitri I tow with a '11 Ram pick-up, 2500, 5.4l. When I know I am going to tow I will use premium gas, for the octane and fill up the boat's tanks, I get 10 miles to the gallon going up and down hills on the back roads of CT. Lots of stop and starts and usually with O.D. off. Once on the interstate...

Re: 2007 Factory Trailer Make Over

Mac A Tac I would think again about putting those brakes back on. Just going to relate I am glad my brakes worked last month going home from Naragansett Bay RI. Yes I was exceeding the speed limit on the back roads I use. Wife and granddaughter in vehicle behind me. As I rounded a corner a Porche Bo...

Re: Refused Insurance

2005 BF50A NEMA 2000 connection

Hello All Going to be replacing my steering box and cable soon and while I am messing around with cable and wire ties I thought I might put in a NEMA cable for the outboard. I read last year there was a adaptor/cable availabe for the older motors but after a few searches I got lazy and am going to t...

Re: Towing: how are you strapping down?

I use one strap similar to Ray's that I purchased at Harbor Freight like Bradhil. The hooks are different in that they are steel strapping bent to the hook shape and they fit like they were made to attach to the U-channel of the trailer. I am getting some fraying and will purchase a second one this ...

Re: Got my EZ Cleats today

I got mine at the Newport boat show from a Garhauer Marine Vendor last fall. I saw them on a NE-TS's X and thought they would be a good piece of equipment for when I really learn how to sail. Fit and finish are great and I am going to look into putting a spring loaded plunger on them. When I have so...

soda blasting

Time for me to mine the depths of knowledge that this forum has. Last spring I was supposed to scrap ablative anti foul paint from bottom of boat. Life got in the way. I found a local place that does soda blasting (baking soda) and the gentleman said he could do my boat for a fee. Ball park figure o...
