Thanks!
I have a friend planning on looking at the recoiled for me on Wednesday and if no lunch I'm taking it to the shop. Just wish I was able to buy a new motor and avoid this trouble. This one has had it's better days way past.

Failure

Well we went and launched her. Got the motor started after a few pull and it ran for little while. Then it died. I tried a few more pull then it got to the point that it wouldn't recoil the pull string.

I have a 1973 Chrysler 6hp long shaft motor on my boat. I planing on go out tomorrow and driving around on the motor some. My question is the gas I have had been sitting in my garage since fall of 2012 and I'm wondering if it'll be ok to use. I just looked at the tank and it looked as if there was p...

Hand held radio cobra marine hh350

So I have a marine radio mounted in the boat but I need to rewire the boat and mast before I can use that so I went and bought a cobra marine hh350 today from bass pro shop. The main reasons I bought this one is this was a floating radio where the other 3 weren't. Also the guy told me that with this...

Re: Hairline crack on mast plate

Thank you all!
I'm more comfortable about these cracks now.
Being by the mast plate I was more worried about the structure rather then look. Does anyone have examples of cracks in the fiberglass to show what to be concerned about when looking at cracks?

Re: Thanks for letting me join

Looks like fun. I had the same problem first time out with stuff falling all over when we heeled. Now everything will have a secure place to live. DL can we beach our boats along the Indiana shores or do we have to anchor out? I will be putting ours in on Saturday afternoon at Hammond. Are you stay...
