Thanks for the great info guys. Another question.... How can I measure the keel on the parts boat to make sure it will fit? I cant take it apart because it belongs to the guy selling it. I need to be sure it will work for my boat before I buy his boat. Any advice ? Ryan.

Can anyone help me identify this Mac gregor hull; Mac1877m836? It also has a 78 above these numbers. Im trying to find out if I can use the keel from this boat for a replacement keel on my 1985 mac 25. They look very similar. Any ideas? Thank you. Ryan.

Thanks, that's some great info there. And as requested, I am on the north shore of the island Kauai, Hawaii. Pretty far out as far as access to available parts. One of the drawbacks of living out here. Hopefully I will get lucky and find a kerl on an old boat or....?

Tnks for the responses. Does anyone know what years are compatible? As far as obtaining a keel from another Mac goes? Also, could I use one off of a Venture and or a different size vessle like 22 or 19?

The keel on my mac 25 has vanished rendering the"Small Kine"a useless vessele with many sad sailors left ashore. Does anyone know how I can find a replacement and how to go about the process? Also, the will continue to locate the missing original which I believe broke off at the pivot bolt...
