Re: Towing: Mazda CX-9 vs Nissan Pathfinder
I don't know much about the XC-90 but we had a Volvo V70 XC Station wagon for a couple years and it was a great car. Very solid and by far the most comfortable car I have ever owned. My wife totalled it this past August. It did its job in the accident and my wife and daughter walked away without a s...

Don't know how far away you are willing to go to get your :macx: but I saw a pretty nice 2002 on Craigslist in Spokane, WA for around $15k. I know that it has been on there for quite some time so maybe the owner would be willing to drop the price. I also know that there are usually quite a few of th...

Re: 26X winter cover
We will be getting our :macx: ready today for the winter after pulling it from the lake yesterday. I live in Spokane, WA. We get quite a bit of snow here. Last year we covered ours up with 3 different size tarps so that the whole thing was totally covered from bow to stern. We used zip ties to conne...

Re: Lets try again - buying a 26x, part 2.
I also bought my :macx: in the Seattle area last year. I paid $10,500 US for my 1996 model. It also had a 50 hp Nissan that was in pretty good condition. It hadn't been run for 8 years and the boat had been sitting for 8 years on its trailer. I had to put about $500 into the motor and needed new tra...

Re: New Owner looking for setup help
Hi Bimmer, I hit the dock pretty hard the first time out too. I also almost rammed a couple boats while pulling into my marina for the first time. Luckily my wife was on board with a boat hook and was able to push us off of them before we hit them. You didn't mention whether or not you had your cent...

Re: LAKE HAVESU, CA MANSLAUGHTER
Everybody operating a boat needs to be careful and needs to keep an eye out for persons, objects, or other boats while on the water. I usually motor very slowly just for this purpose. (Also I don't like taking the time to put up my rudders and centerboard) It's difficult to even see somebody paddlin...

Re: Water in Bilge
Was coming from the vent hole. Vent hole wasn't tightened enough. On my boat it is located under a removable step. I am not really familiar enough with the :macm: to know where its vent hole is located but that is how so much water got into my boat. We sucked up all of the water with the shop vac an...

Re: Water in Bilge
You may want to check to make sure everything is sealed up tight with your water ballast. I had water issues with my :macx: about 3 months ago because the ballast tank was letting water into the boat. I keep my boat moored and one day I went to go out and had about 200 gallons sitting in the bilge. ...
