Re: Several questions about my Mac 26M
Matthew, I placed mine in the battery compartment I went relatively small I believe it was a rule 360 but If I would do it again I would use 500 or higher. I have heard people using up to 3. 1 for port, starboard and center. More important I ran my bilge thruhole to my port side about 6" above ...

Just searching for those interested in linking up and...

Re: 12 Gallon Fuel Tank on 26M
Not sure if your tank is the same as older ones but this is what I did 7+ years still holding up.......... From previous post: OK, I was able to snap some pictures of what I did for securing the fuel tanks. The longer 2X4 is really just a spacer so the tank does not slide forward. I used PC7 epoxy t...

Re: RF sail line at the top
I grabbed my mainsheet line at 30' with 2 long boat hooks and a hanger duct taped together....I know it was just luck but I got it! I also heard of someone using a fishing hook and a helium balloon but I do not have that kind of patience... Third option can you dock next to a high pier or another (t...

Gadget...RayMarine AutoPilot users...Wireless Remote Option
I sailed with a friend this weekend who introduced me to this gadget...He sails solo and enjoys sitting on the bow. He controls autopilot remotely with a key Fob. He said it was worth every bit of the $200. cost. It allows him to sit on the bow at night with a spotlight to search for crab pots and s...

Re: Boom Rivets... 3 Questions
Thanks, I will have to see if I can get Monel...I thought you were not supposed to use screws into the mast because of lack of strength..after "tapping" it would really only be held in with Aluminum threads

Boom Rivets... 3 Questions
I need to replace the rivets for the boom gooseneck (very loose).
Should I use Aluminum or Stainless rivets?
Is holding power better with Stainless?
Are dissimilar metals a factor?
