Beene, When I brought my boat accross the border, Canadian Border Services Agency charged a $209.00 fee for the ROV form 1. Form 2 is sent in the mail to your home address and all being well gets there in a week or so (mine took 3 weeks as the Agency head office couldn't read the Border Agent's writ...

Not many camels up here, but moose........well that's a different story. Maybe, I should try some of the dried up moose residue this summer. Actually, they are quite safe, as the flame is containe at the bottom and occasioanlly comes over the top rim. The principal is a water jacket around a chimney...

I have the alcoholstove, and also a butane burner for m 26X. The butane is a lot faster. Another advantage of the butane is that I can take onto a beach or to picnic tables at a marina. Now, for you outdoors lovers, I discovered a product which is the best thing ever for boiling a kettle on a beach ...

Dreamer. I am not sure how new to sailing you are, but most Canadian Power and Sail Squadrons are starting their boating courses this month. They instruct and test for the Pleasure Boaters Card as well as teaching navigation and pilotage as well as your VHF Operators certificate. You can check for a...

The International trade agreement has helped in certain areas such as no more inport duties on US manufactured products. The main problems are generated by distance, shipping costs and volume. I am sure if Dowsar were selling double what they sell now in terms of volume they may look at their pricin...

Is anyone familiar with Aquastar inflatable boats? I having been pricing boats on the internet and came accross this one 8'9" at a good price Can$769 shipping included. It is described as "roll-up". The ad doesn't say where it is made, but I suspect it may be China, as North American ...

Looking at the specs, she should be hauled with a vehicle with a 5,000lb tow rating. Displacement - 2865lbs add motor and equipment and you are looking at about 3300lbs or so and a trailer at about 1500lbs takes it close to 5000lbs. The pics show a double axle trailer so it may be even heavier than ...

I have spoken to quite a lot of commercial fishermen over the years. Just about every one of them pours engine oil into the spark plug holes and turns the motor over to lubricate the pistons. In spring they take out the spark plug and give the engine a couple of turn overs to make sure there is no s...

Would you like to supersizeyour Mac. meal deal? I think it all depends what you are looking for. There are lots of luxury 30 footers out there at luxury prices. If MacGregor wants to continue the low price tradition with a good, well built basic boat at a sensible price that those with a modest inco...
