I made the dealer aware of the transom issue and other problems in April 2005. If the motor installer caused the damage would you think there was not enough material (resin, fiberglass, plywood)to prevent problems as the motor is bolted on ? So if there is not enough material to prevent damage as th...

Iwish I was in the "reasonable quality" group rather than the "drunken monkeys quality"group. I would rather have spent my time enjoying elective mods but instead spent much time figuring what parts weren't there, solving water leaks redoing most things the dealer did . For which...

Dissapointing 2005 26M

At two years all the excellent theory and design can't make up for the POOR quality. If I had a chance to start over I wouldn't buya new Mac. Mine had transom damage that was poorly repaired by the factory or maybe the dealer Both say they didn't do it , it was delivered that way. I could go on abou...

I clean the bottom with foaming bathroom cleaner and an old towel. Buy the no name brands for about a dollar a can. Two cans are more than enough. If the gunk has dried for a while hose it with water first, wait untill it is damp, spray on the cleaner and wipe.

To repair the rub rail Liquid Electrical Tape repaired scuffs and cut through spots. It is similar to the Plastic Dip . Use thin coats to build it up It is self leveling. Too much at once will make it sag. From 10 feet away you can't tell.

Rookie is 100%dead on. Buy used from someone who fixed every thing. A new one isn't worth the aggravation due to poor quality from the factory and dealer.

I have a2005 26m with a Honda 50,I typically get 11-13 mph and unpredictable ventilation even on glass flat water.Squirrily steering when powering .The power is not good . Occasionally reaches15mph then ventilates, then you back the throttle down and attempt to build some speed again
