If you go to sailmagazine.com, you can read some of the articles, but not the one on good trailering boats to buy. Per the magazine they are: the Mariner 19, Cornish Shrimper 19, West Wight Potter 19, Precision 21, Eclipse, Corsair 24, Cataline 250, Hunter 260, MacGregor 26M, Seaward 26RK, and the Telstar 28.

The website does include a relatively indepth review of the Telstar. No reviews on the other boats aside from what you'd find in a brochure.

I thought the Telstar was transportable not Trailerable?

This month's Sailing Magz just arrived, also with a one-page review of the Telstar in Bob Perry's review section. I think reports of the Telstar's non-trailerability were based on Tony Smith's initial reluctance to endorse casual stepping of the mast. However, Perry reveals that Smith & Co have now completed a patented "dual A-arm" pivoting-lifting mechanism that purportedly handles the mast raising duties single-handedly.

I hope to be back there for October's Annapolis show, if not sooner. I have not seen the mast pivots in action, but I'm looking forward to that, plus a ride. The boat's list price is $62k with 10hp outboard, add another $7,000 for heavy-duty, galvanized trailer, total ~$70,000. Fifteen knots, sail or motor ... I can't afford that this year, but what'r dreams for?!

The wife and I wanted to go to Annapolis in October also, but we had just bought a new house and funds are a little low. I hope you have a great time, and bring back some pics of the Telstar.
