Introducing "Luna Azul"

Post by Russ »

Okay, so we finally picked up our new baby at BWY last week. Here she is waiting her trip home.
Now the fun begins as we have lots of things to do to customize her.

We've tentatively settled on the name Luna Azul (Blue Moon).

I'm sure I'll have tons of questions for this forum in the near future.

Congratulations!

Prepare yourself for the good times a coming! :) :) That is, once the weather in Montana warms up.

Are you going to trailer everywhere, or get a slip?

Yea, we're hoping the lake thaws out soon.

This Summer we are getting a slip. Once we get more familiar with the boat, we will probably explore other areas.

Hey, I recognize that spot!

Congrats. I know the time until you actually put it in the water is going to ddrraagg on, but it will be worth the wait. I'm sure that swabby will have a great time of it too.

Regards,

Congrats. We are picking up "Balikai" from BWY next Saturday. I got the slower white hull, though. 8) I notice you are from Bozeman, MT. Where do you do most of your sailing? We are just south of you in Boise, ID and are looking for other areas to sail outside of ID.

Fair winds

Yours is probably the on on the left of the frame of this picture. Sheryl and the BWY crew were great. Ray took us out on lake Union on their demo boat. I was amazed at how maneuverable this boat is.

We will be on Canyon Ferry Lake which is a fairly large lake (30 miles long x 5 miles wide) outside of Helena, MT. It's very quiet and private. There are 2 other Macs in our marina. If you decide to come our way, give a shout.

Naming boats

Post by Bluecrab »

Welcome and congratulations,
We've tentatively settled on the name Luna Azul (Blue Moon).
I like it. How does anyone finally settle on a name?

We bought ours last fall and have still not named it. I am trying to get 5 people to agree, not easy.
